” s it going guys. This is proflex here. I am sitting at my setup right right now it s behind me. And what i got in my hands is the light strip.
I bought from walmart. I actually saw this sitting at walmart a couple months ago. And i thought it would be a cool video and also i needed an led light strip under my desk because i think that every single desk slash gaming setup needs a little bit of sauce to it alright so we re gonna open this up sorry about my face being cropped out. We re gonna open this up and see what s inside so i m gonna get it on the desk and move the camera alright so inside this box right here.
It comes with sixteen point four feet of this led light strip. And i actually the packaging doesn t look bad at all oh 90 day warranty that s pretty cool. But yeah these uh this actually does come in a really nice package. I m gonna read some stuff on the back here alright so on the.
Box. Here it says that the these lights last up to 50000. Hours of i m. Guessing continuous use.
So. That s pretty cool. It says. That it includes a power cord.
A remote control mounting hardware and instruction manual alright..
Let s see if i m gonna need any uh. A knife or some scissors. I don t have either oh. I guess you don t right at the top here.
I m guessing this is the yep. This is gonna be the plug in and the next thing. The led light strip itself oh and the manual alright. So this is what i was gonna wondering about was the remote here alright.
So this is the remote here. It s kind of has a glare. Too it s cut. So my cameras and really focusing there we go so we got red green blue white orange yellow.
So we ve got all these colors right here we got we got the brightness controls. We got a play and pause button. I don t know if that s for an on and off button auto jump three fade. Three fit flash jump.
Seven fate seven and then we got the speed. I m guessing of how fast the fade and the jumps. I don t know what the jumps are but yeah. That s why i m guessing those are four so the remotes pretty nice compact simple not a whole lot of options compared to some of the other led light strips.
But yeah so that s three mount we re gonna set it on off to the side package..
You came in look up the manual. No one needs that so we got some mounting stuff here we got the the cord. I bought. I actually bought an led light strip online before and it came off really like a really dinky thing.
Where you have to plug it in with the you know the four pin. It just kept bending and bending so this you see the how big that is you just screw it in alright. So this court looks pretty beefy like that s pretty pretty dang thick compared to the other one. So this is not gonna break and actually my last one i bought broke so let s move on to the next step alright.
So what i m gonna be doing next is i m gonna move my desk out so i can get behind it so i put the lights on we re gonna take this out. Here should probably disconnect the cables from my pc alright. So my goal here is to mount it on the back of this and underneath. The table.
It didn t come with the 3m tape on the back of this which i was hoping. It was i decided to go the redneck way and use duct tape. It s working out pretty good so far okay. So the lights are looking pretty good there their work and as you can see i had a little bit exercise just ran it down the middle of the table.
So i ran the cord from there into this cord sleeve. All the way up here it came out right around there i got some extra cord. I m probably just gonna tape it up here on the top of the desk. Where no one can see it and on this led light strip.
You actually can t there s nowhere to cut because a lot of them you can cut and get rid of the extra..
But on this one you can t do that alright. So i just installed this led light strip that i bought from walmart and as you can see it looks really good and i m pretty sure the camera doesn t do that much justice because you know all cameras do that pretty much like the parentheses. Razor keyboard it looks a lot better in person than on camera you probably already know that oh yeah. It looks really nice really cool.
We re gonna actually go through some of the positives and bad things about purchasing this light strip here and we re gonna we re gonna start off with the bad things first so the first bad thing that i could think about how my mind is that it didn t come with the the adhesive tape that s on the back of the other ones. So you don t have to drill holes in the wall or like use you know duct tape like i had to do it just already you could apply it on but sometimes that that tape isn t the best. But i mean it would have been a nice bonus on this one um. The next bad thing is that it s pretty thick so if you want to put it bend it around corners.
It s actually harder to bend around corners. And it will take a lot more room to bend around that corner they ll be harder to mold around the corner. I guess you could say another bad thing is you can t just cut off that extra bit of cord. You have or like on the other ones you could there s places.
Where you could cut it off so the other bad thing that i can think of is the other light strips come with more features. But the other ones have more colors more different shades of each color. More effects like more fade effects more lighting effects just more stuff in general. But i was pretty fine with the amount of stuff this one had i didn t really need anything that special.
So yeah that was the last bad thing. I can think of and we re gonna go on to what i think is good about this compared to the other ones. So the first good thing. I can think of is this has a higher nicer thicker build quality and actually in the bad stuff.
I said that the thickness of the court was a bad thing to bend around corners..
But also it could be a good thing. So it doesn t break as easy like my last one because actually did buy the other one from i don t even know where. But it was just thin and dinky this one is thicker. It s not gonna break as easy same thing with the plugin where it plugs into the wall up and the receiver where it gets the signal from the remote control.
That s just bigger bulkier and just all around nicer and it s not gonna break as easy like my last one the only good thing. I can think of on this one. And that s not saying that this is a bad led light strip. But the only good thing.
I can think about on this one is that it s just nice thick and durable. It just it s gonna last a lot longer like i. Said i think it said it lasted 50000. Continuous hours.
I don t know about the other ones that i ve seen that s a lot of hours a lot of damage. But i m really happy with the outcome of this and i actually give it two thumbs up thank you guys so much for watching leave a like subscribe. If you comment or share this video. It will send out my channel.
