lenovo thinkpad pen pro This is a topic that many people are looking for. militaria-agent.com is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, militaria-agent.com would like to introduce to you Lenovo ThinkPad L390 Yoga Review. Following along are instructions in the video below:
“Is lisa from mobile tech review and this is the lenovo thinkpad l. 390 yoga yoga so this is good times think pads are really well built laptops are typically serviceable pass a whole bunch of mil std. 8ng tests dust shock. Vibration extreme hot and stream cold.
All that sort of stuff humidity. But they tend to be really expensive right so this one the l series typically is lenovo s more affordable thing pads and they just be kind of dreary several years ago. But not so much anymore because technology gets better. And it gets cheaper and all that sort of thing.
So this model with the 360 degree yoga. Hinges. An ips touchscreen. Full hd.
No matter. Which configuration of this again. And wacom. A es pen included with all configuration starts at 809.
Now. Granted that is for a core. I3 with four gigs of ram and 128 gig ssd. Which probably no one s gonna buy for themselves.
But it departments will buy them just to go you sure didn t get the most powerful laptop. Did you. But you know at the core i5. Eight gigs of ram in a 256 gig.
Nvme ssd. A fast one at that and that s around 910 dollars. Which isn t bad. When you consider that the more expensive lenovo thinkpad x1 yoga 3rd.
Edition is still starting at around 1500. For a core i5 and you have a lot of the same performance here. We re looking at now so you can find the l3 90. At several different retailers.
Cdw staples. The united states are lenovo s on website. Where they often have sales so keep an eye on it and get the idea there to see if you can get the best possible price. But right now the prices are pretty low on this.
Either. Way. You re gonna get an intel. 8.
Late 8th generation whiskey like quad core. 15. What all trebek cpu inside your choice of a core i3 or a core i5 we have the core i5 it has two ram slots yeah. That s his nice line of ultrabooks just don t even have ram slots so you can get it with dual shell ram.
And from the factory. If you want or a single channel ram and upgrade. It yourself effort is faster performance with dual channel that simply means matching ram. Modules inside the laptop.
It s as simple as that so if you got the 8 gig model off the shelf like ours is you just get another 8 gig ddr4 2400 megahertz ram. Module sticking and a dual channel your performance will go up even more document. Some of the benchmarks. We would see a little bit higher performance.
But this is in a single channel configuration. It has a fast m2 nvme. Ssd and ours is a samsung pm 9. 81.
Which is on the fastest on the market. This is pretty cool that an ultrabook that s not even in the so called premium price point. Which these days is often well over a thousand dollars has a very fast ssd it does make it feel very snappy 512 gigs is the most you can get for storage for that ssd but if you want to upgrade yourself. After the fact you can it s a standard m2 slot drive until 95 60 ac wi fi is standard with the intel whiskey leg platform and then it s very good fast gigabit wi fi.
So if the processor they have pre built core i3 and i 5 offerings you can do a built order. If you want and you can go up to a core i7. So that has 210 dollars to the base price. So that s around 1000 or some ports on here are also good you have two usb sea ports.
Both of them will handle charging this comes with a usb see 65. Watt fast. Charger. 45.
Watts. Is really all you need for an ultrabook with intel uhd 620 integrated graphics. But they use the higher wattage charger. So it can charge more quickly and indeed one hour of charge time will get it from empty to.
80 which is well. Fast yeah so you. Have usb. 31 gen2 on parts on.
Board in hdmi 14. Port also ethernet you could do a usb dongle adapter. It is also the nova s proprietary little port and you can get there ethernet adapter. If you want to keep those other ports open and available.
Since you can use the usb c. And you will use usb c. For charging on this. There is no proprietary or barrel connector for charging.
They have usb fry protection. Just in case. You re using a dodgy third party adapter that s nice to have when it comes to the display. There is only one option.
No matter what configuration you again you can get a core i5. You can get a core i3. Or core i7. You get the idea.
It s a full hd. Ips display. It is glossy the regardless of whether they call it anti glare or anything else so. The glass covers everything including the bezel area and the bezels are pretty humongous.
But this is not a fancy expensive thing pad x1 yoga isn t either so that s what you re gonna get in this price range and i would live with it certainly for the cost savings. So 1920 by 1080 supports touch. Supports. The wakame.
Es pen. This isn t the latest generation of. Wakame. Es that supports 4096 pressure levels this one supports 2000.
Pressure level so it comes with the usual. I love this the thinkpad pen that lives in the garage or the silo on the front edge of the laptop. So less likely to lose it and that allowed them to come up with the charging mechanism. So it actually charges when it s in the silo.
So you don t have to go out and source quadruple. A batteries now if you do prefer a larger pen you can get lenovo thinkpad pen pro. The full size kind of pen that does use the rechargeable replaceable battery inside more ergonomic. How is it in terms of pens.
It s like all the other thing pads that use the first generation wacom aes digitizer. It s fine. It s good it s it s i like it a little bit better than what surfaced uses the intrigue digitizer in terms of palm rejection wavy lines for those of you buying this for art on the diagonal yeah you re gonna have some line jitter. There.
But for its intended purpose. Which is probably more business people doing note taking and diagramming and all that sort of thing. It s perfectly good the display metrics on this are pretty good actually if 300 nits of brightness that s not super impressive. It s okay.
That s not great for the rest of it they call their gamut. You can see the specs on screen are all very good on this the blue levels are a little higher they almost always are in laptops. But this is even more high. But you can calibrate that even using your eyeballs and the windows.
Calibration feature and bring that down the lid on this is a combination of magnesium and aluminum and the bottom is fiberglass reinforced plastic. It s pretty rigid. It s pretty hard to twist typically typically with thing pads they are very rugged and i always say i dropped one on the wood floor once and i put a dent in the wood floor not in the laptop. So it is pretty rugged and pretty sturdy.
The keep around this is your usual excellent think pad keyboard with the ergonomic smile shape keys nice little bevel on though it s very comfortable. It s relatively speaking still a thin laptop. It s not as super skinny as an excellent carbon or something like that but it s pretty thin. So the key travel on this is decent.
But not super deep like a thick thing pad would be this doesn t have that lift and lock mechanism. I m really ok with that i you know even though they seem to hold up to me adding that many moving parts just always seem to be asking for trouble and not really so necessary when it does mean is when you flip it over and use it in tablet mode. You will feed those feel those keys wiggling underneath your fingers on the backside. The trackpad on this thing is super.
I really love and talk about mac like it s just accurate not weird anything like that so it has a usual track point pointer. If you want to dedicate buttons up top. If you do want to use the track point pointer in otherwise a clickable touchpad area it s a microsoft precision trackpad i just can t say enough about it it s really good for security. Ours has the fingerprint scanner on the keyboard deck that is an optional feature.
I think most configurations are probably going to have it there s also an optional windows hello ir camera and optional nfc in terms of heat and noise this is an ultrabook. It is a think pad that s actually rated to work up to 43 degrees centigrade which is a almost 110 degrees fahrenheit for up to eight hours at a time but ultrabooks really don t make a lot of hands and the temperatures that we saw in pushing it hard or when running the pc mark. 10. Benchmark.
We re absolutely fine at 80 degrees. Centigrade or so pushing a little higher in that twizy the end of the test. Where it s super demanding on the cpu. So yeah.
One small fan. It s not going to make a lot of noise. It behaves well if you re just using it doing something like typing in word or something like that you re not even gonna hear the fan come on so battery life here we go again they of course. They would like you to buy something more expensive that they sell so they think that x series in swappable batteries and stuff like that but for this one you get a 45 watt hour battery.
Which is at the low end of the ultrabook range. Not unheard of so that means you re not gonna get super long runtimes here this is it depends on where you what you re doing where you set the brightness for us. We do a mix of productivity. A little bit of photo shops and streaming video with the display set at 150 nits of brightness and typically i ran for about six hours on one charge.
So not a super duper all day running long energizer kind of laptop like i said. Think pads are easy to open in service. So here you have philips head screws. These are captive screws which mean you unscrew them till you hear them going click click click they stay in the cover so you won t accidentally lose them use a guitar pick or something to pry them off take out the little pin from the silo pry.
It off so. What the underside looks like we have some shielding material here again the bottom is fiberglass reinforced plastic. There s our internals yeehaw ram. Slots good to see here so yes you can put in a second eight gig module if you buy the the stock eight gig single dim version.
We got you have dual channel ram. Just like that our nvme ssd fast samsung pm nine eight one 256 gigabyte in ours. It s nice to see you know a lot of ultrabooks these days you actually get faster nvme ssds than you do in two thousand dollar gaming laptops yeah that s the intel 95 60 ac wi fi card obviously the fan which is your typical small ultrabook sized fan and the heat sink right here perfectly adequate cooling. The speaker is run over here usually you see them on the edges.
But hey whatever and these are 2 watt speakers apiece so a little bit louder than average for a 13 inch ultrabook. And there is our battery 45 watt hour. Not a super impressive capacity there. But then again they got it takes something away.
So you might be tempted to buy a higher and thinkpad model right so i m so glad that lenovo keeps offering a thinkpad so called budget yoga one that s not approaching 2000. So this time with the l3 90 you get all the stuff that makes a thing pad. A thing had a very durable design easy to service a good number of ports a very nice keyboard a lovely trackpad you get wacom pen 80s on board. You get a touchscreen and get the 360 degree hinges.
And it s under 1000 for a decent configuration. This is good stuff. I m missing from mobile tech review be sure to subscribe to our youtube channel for more cool take videos and thumbs up if ” ..
