Today, militaria-agent.com would like to introduce to you Panasonic GH5 10bit ALL-I 400Mbps vs LongGop 150Mbps. Following along are instructions in the video below:
“Hi. There everybody today. I would like to try something else we all know that that the panasonic gh4 shoots ten bit. But there are two variations of the 10 codec and i really want to see which of the codecs is better for what i do so right now.
I m actually shooting in v. Log. And i m shooting at 10 bit. But i m shooting at 150 megabytes per second and the reason.
Why i want to do this is because i want to see the difference between the 150 megabits per second and 400 megabits per second. When i edit in final cut. Pro..
.
I have a really hard time playing in the 400 megabytes per second footage at real time. I have no problem at all with a 115 megabytes per second. So i want to see if there is actually a big difference between the two codecs when it comes to quality. So the main differences between the two codecs is that one of them the ally is almost four times larger than the other one the ip be the ally being that it takes one new picture for every frame in your video.
The ip be only records. The differences between the stuff that is happening in your frame. Which lets you have much smaller file sizes. So as maybe you can see i m actually shooting this video over two days.
And that is because the first day the the weather was quite bad. And it was very cloudy and stuff like that so i m out now shooting. Because i actually have a little bit of blue sky because in the sky you often can see if there is any problems with the color..
.
If you can see maybe artifacts and stuff like that so that s why i m shooting two days to really test out the two code. So i m back at the office and i ve tried to look at the footage as good as i can there are mainly three things that i ve been looking at number one was sharpness is the picture from the both codex as sharp as the other one and my finding was that yes. It is very similar i couldn t see the difference and i was really suman in at 400. So the second thing.
I was looking at was the motion in the picture. And if i could see any type of blocking or smudging or anything like that i was looking at the flags that i shot also at the cars and i tried also to look at the water. I couldn t see any difference maybe there are people out there who can t see it the difference between the footage of course. The youtube compression will probably make that a little bit harder.
But i couldn t see any difference at all and the third thing that i was looking at was the color and looking at the skies. I couldn t see any difference. I was really trying to boost the colors stretch them out to just see if i could ever slightly..
.
See any blockage in the footage. There are probably people out there who can see the difference. But i was very intrigued to do this stitch. Because of a couple of other videos that i had seen where people said that they couldn t see the difference and for me.
That is actually quite good news. Because as i said in the beginning of this video. The main reason for me to shoot the 150 megabyte over the 400 mega byte is the ease of editing. My computer.
At least plays. The 150 megabyte compressed footage. Very nicely..
.
It doesn t stutter at all. But the four hundred megabyte does stutter a lot so that was my main reason to do this test. I hope this video was enlightening. It was at least for me doing the research and really putting the two codecs against each other so if you liked this video and want to see more videos like this please subscribe to my channel and give me a thumbs up or thumbs down.
If you didn t like it until the next time. ” ..
