I m going going to talk about a problem that i ve been experiencing with my android device using spotify in my car basically when i m running spotify via bluetooth in my car on android 81. On a pixel i ve been having this issue. Where if you take a look here nothing shows up on my in terms of for music.
Playing now. I can t play music and record on the this device all at the same time. But if it was working correctly you would still see on my the music that was just playing so now..

I think i know how to solve the problem. We need to actually grant spotify. Some permissions on our phone and that should make it work to show up on our display in our car so let s go ahead take a look at our android device and see how we can do that alright so here we are on my android device you can hear i got some music playing but i still don t have anything on my display. So what we re going to do is going to access my settings and from the main settings page here we re going to tap on apps and notifications and then notice that spotify is one of my recently opened apps.
So let s tap on spotify. Now from within the spotify section. We actually need to tap on permissions and you ll notice that right now..

It says that there are no permissions granted so let s tap on permissions and i don t actually know. Which one is the right one to grant. But let s just give spotify permission for all of these things for now. I think that it s probably phone and storage are your probably two that you want to you know make sure that spotify has permission for in order for it to display correctly in your car.
But now let s go back. What i m going to do is i m actually just going to quit out of spotify. All right so my music is now stopped playing and i m actually going to disable bluetooth..

Now we will enable bluetooth again. And we will open up spotify. That s connected and i m telling you guys right now that i now have the song that is currently playing listed in my car. There you have it ladies and gentlemen.
We can t hear again actually it is working this time. I m able to record and play the song maybe that was also part of the spotify permissions but we ve got the song that we re currently playing listed here in the car. We can hear the music so we are good to go if you re having issues with spotify not showing up correctly on your car go ahead and go into your android settings access spotify and grant spotify permission to at least your phone in storage you can grant it other things as well and you should resolve the issue of songs not showing up in your car..
